With the advent of vinyl lettering & vinyl printing, brush signwriting in many aspects has become obsolete. Yet there is still a number of exceptions where it can be used to produce some highly effective & economical forms of advertising.
Temporary Fluorescent Window Adverts are unique & brilliant signs that can't be matched for catching the attention of potential customers. These jobs are labour based so if the wording is kept to a minimum, so can the price. Consequently we find that this type of sign tends to be less complicated and therefore more effective.
Painted Shop Signage. Modern signage production (like vinyl printing) has its limits due to its cost per square metre. So when it comes to larger shop size signs, the painting option with its low material cost can be a much more economical alternative. The main drawback with exterior painting is its 3 year recommended external UV life. Though re-coating can be a inexpensive future job.
Honour Boards. In some circumstances there is still a call for traditional signwriting and gold leafing (especially in titles) with honour boards. The beautiful hand crafted lettering and lustrous gold leaf is still without parallel.
